Show I I MORONI ! By Special Correspondence Mr. and Mrs. Theran Syme were very pleasantly surprised at their home Saturday evening. Dancing and games were enjoyed by, Mr. and Mrs. James Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Nunley, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Nielsen, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Johansen, Mrs. Mary Anne Nielsen and Mrs. Jamc. Everett. The Misses Ruth Syme and Hazel Rostron served lunch to the guests. Mrs. John Rostron has recently returned re-turned from Salt Lake City wher-j she has been visiting her daughter. Mrs. Harry Peterson was taken to the hospital in Salt Lake City last week for treatment. Mrs. H. E. Larsen of Spring City visited this week with her daughter, Mrs. Marvin Anderson. The Moroni High School opera went over big Thursday evening at the Kozy Theatre. The opera was-"The was-"The Swami of Bagdad," and the following fol-lowing were in the cast: Dr. Fenton Joe Robinson Miss Gorden Grace Blackham Hattie Magdalene Coombs Alic Bernard Nelson Susie Zola Holman Jack Verl Mellanson Swami of Bagdad Elbert Draper Mrs. Robinson Lavon Christensen Mr. Robinson Ivo Christensen Dr. Jones Vem Frandsen Dr. Martha Jesse Maxfield The nurses were: Deora Anderson, Delia Hansen, Oleta Anderson, Katie Anderson. Reva Livingston. The bathing beauties were: Vida Hardy, Anna Christensen, Velda Old-royde, Old-royde, Ilene Oldroyd, Meredith Anderson. An-derson. Seventy-five voices took part in the chorus. Mrs. Mert Draper is visiting this week in Genola with her sister, Mrs. Ray Nelson. Mrs. ' Marvin Anderson entertained at a birthday party Sunday afternoon in honor of the fifth birthday anniversary anni-versary of her daughter Beth. Lunch was served to twenty-five little guests. The Senior class of the High School held their annual ball Saturday evening eve-ning at Paradise Gardens. The health May Day festival under the direction of the Lincoln School faculty wil be held in Moroni May 1st. The following program will be carried out: 9:30 exhibit at the Lincoln Lin-coln School; 1:30 program in the west ward tabernacle, followed by sports on the city lawn; 3:00 matine? at the Kozy Theatre; 7:00 to 9:00 children's dance in the Lincoln School house. A dance at Paradise Gardens Gar-dens will be the concluding number on the program. The committees are working hard to make this day a big success. |
