The many friends of Miss Kate Andersen, will 110 doubt be surprised sur-prised to learn of her marriage 1:1 September 6r.U to Eugene Allen. She has been living for the past year with Mrs. Emma A. Nash in Salt Lake City, 'ine couple visited Monday and Tuesday in this city wi,:h her sister, Mrs. Lyda Guymon, and then left by way of Bryce Canyon for Santa Monica, California, Cali-fornia, where they will make their heme. They have the best wishes of everyone for their future welfare and happiness. The community was shocked to learn of the death of Alfred Johnson, John-son, age 73. cf acute pneumonia on September 9 th. He is survived by the lcliowmg children: Christian Chris-tian Jcluiscn, ot Salt Lake City, Mrs. Anion Hansen, Alfred Johnson Jr., August Johnson, and President E. J. Johnson. His wife died in Decem-jer cf this year. Funeral services will be noid Saturday afternoon. af-ternoon. Tne body was taken care of by The Hansen Mortuary Company of Mt. Pleasant. The Red Cross of Fountain Green has canvassed the city for donations for helping the people of the flood area of Farmington. They were successful in raising over thirty-six dollars. Feople may be interested to know that during "Lamb Week" there were twenty-one lambs used at the local butcher shops. In addition to this ten were used for the bar-beque bar-beque makng thrty-one in all. Vern Frandsen, a barber of Og-den, Og-den, visiied for a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Antone r randsen. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Anderson of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Thompson. The committee chosen to work in connection with the proposed Constitutional Con-stitutional Amendments are as follows: fol-lows: c. S. Augason, chairman; President J. L. Nielson, J. R. Christiansen, Chris-tiansen, O. A. Allred, Fred D. Smith, N. M. Jensen, Myrum Lund, Mrs. C. S. Augason, Ethel Ander-json, Ander-json, Mrs. L. R. Ivory and Lyda Guymon. All the principals and teachers of our schools attended the institute held Saturday at T r . Pleasant. School began on September 1st and is in excellent running order. Teachers Teach-ers from this city who are teaching in other communities have left for their respective schools. Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Christiansen announce tiie marriage of their son Ross to Miss Maxie Olson of Mt. Pleasant at the Manti Temple on September 10th. It is hoped oy their many friends that their wedded lire will be one of happiness and success. |
