Show SNOW COLLEGE NOTES President Milton H. Knudsen ol :now College left last week for a year if study at the University of Wisconsin He will pursue research work In some ihase of the dairy problem. During the year he expects also to visit the leading centers of education and study .he junior college movement. William G. Barton, prominient in church, civic, and education affairs has been appointed as acting president during president Knudsen's absence. Snow gridders will tast fire Friday September 28, for the first time tlrs year when they meet Monroe H. S. at Monroe. Coach Young intends to take 21 or 22 men along in order to find the best working combination possible. From present indications, his line furnishes the greater . problem. Although m flasly stars loom up on his forward wall, he hopes to develop some big shifty men before the season is very fa' advanced. He probably has the best back material mater-ial in several years. As yet he has only double or triple threat men. The Snow schedule this year includes two or three who are really dangerous games with the following schools: Westminster at Salt Lake City, Oct. 20. Richfield at Richfield, October 12 North Sanpete at Mt. Pleasant, Oct 28. Weber at Ephraim November 2. B. Y. U. Frosh at Ephraim date indefinate. Nominations of Snow Activity Managers Man-agers for this school year were mado Tuesday In assembly. These nominated nomina-ted will be voted upon by secret ballot Friday morning in an elimination vote to determine finalists for the regular election In the afternoon. Those nominated for the different offices were ns follows: Cheer master, Lav.'crance Kelson, Vernon Davies. Debating Manager, Edith Becstrand, An1 tin Hall and Vernon Davies. Dramatic manager, Mable Kelson, Ornn Knudsen. and Ludeenn Jensen. Athletic manager, Ronald Leonard, Jewell Riismussen, Glen Lamb and Harden Jlilenliot. Activity agent. Carrol Tlagley, Jewel U.-ismiissen, Myrtle Hoblnson, Euiev Anderson, and Dow Brian. |
