Show Funeral Held for Sophus Johnson Scphus Jt.hnson died suddenly, from heart failure, at his home early Wednesday Wed-nesday morning. He had been in fail- ir; health for some time however. Mr. Johnocn son of C. P.. W. and Elvma H. Johnson, was born in Copenhagen Copen-hagen Denmark, December 24, 1854. He with his parents and three brothers bro-thers came to Utah in 18G3 locating in Spanish Fork. They came to Mt. Pleasant in 18C4 and have since that time made their home in this city. He was married March 31, 1877 to Maria Sorcnson. I He was for a number of year sex- ' ten of this city.. I Surviving are his widow and the following children, Mrs. Henrietta i Snow, Magna. Mrs. Emma McCombc, ! Salt Lake City. William Johnson, j Bingham. Mrs. Myrtle Jensen, AxteU: and two brothers, E. C. Johnson, Mt. Pleasant Arnold Johnson Stockton ' Largely attended funeral services were held in the North ward chapel Friday afternoon for Sophus W. Johnson John-son The speakers were William Olson, Bishop Henry P. Olson, Bishop A. L. Peterson and Arthur O. Neilson. Special Spe-cial music was furnished by the ward choir and Mrs. T. W. Jensen and Miss Elida Staker sang solos. The grave was dedicated by Arthur O. Neilson. |
