Show Moroni Lions Give Anniversary Event The Lions Club of Moroni celebrated celebrat-ed their first anniversary with a dinner, din-ner, program and dance, which was held in the Moroni High School building build-ing on the evening of Saturday, November No-vember 23rdl The event was unusually successful. A large number of invited guests, including in-cluding several from the newly organized organ-ized Fountain Green club were present pres-ent Tabby and Bun were there to entertain, which they did in their usual us-ual pleasing manner. J. R. Blackhan. was toastmaster. Urwin Morley, newly new-ly appointed Tailtwister filling the unexpired un-expired term of Ray Anderson kept, everybody laughing with his stunts. Club President Prestwich reviewed briefly the activities of the club during dur-ing the first year of its existence. Alonzo Morley, who is in charge of dramatics at the B. Y. U., was present pres-ent and read several pieces for tne entertainment en-tertainment of all, and complimented the club on the organization and the good that could come to the commun-Tty commun-Tty from such an organization Secretary Sec-retary Rasmussen read the Ust of the original Charter Members of the club, also the names of the members of the club having a good attendance record. Ernest B. Anderson was the only mem-bet mem-bet r of the club having a hundred per cent attendance record. The dinner was prepared by the Domestic Science Department of t.ie nigh school under the personal super-vrsion super-vrsion of Miss Matilda Aebischer, instructor in-structor of the department. Dancing followed the dinner. Music Mu-sic was furnished by Anderson Sister s Orchestra of Nephi. |
