Show frnest V. Staker Receives Degree of ioctor of Philosophy Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Staker have received word of the graduation ol their son Ernest from the University Univers-ity of Minnesota. The degree of Doctor of Philosophy was confer ed upon him at the close of the Fall quarter 1929. Mr. Staker Is a graduate of the Utah Agricultural College, where he received the Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degerees. During Dur-ing the years of 1924-26, he was an instructor at the North Sanpete High School. He entered the Graduate Grad-uate School of the University of Minnesota the Fall of 1926. Hii, major work was in the division of Agricultural Biochemistry with Dr. R. B. Harvey. He was at the University Uni-versity of Minnesota three years. The last two years, he was an assistant assis-tant in his major department. At present, he Is Research Instructor In-structor In the Department of Agronomy Ag-ronomy at CorneU University, Ithaca, Ith-aca, New York. Mr. Staker is doing do-ing chemical research In connecton with the peat soli investigations now being carried on In New York state. |
