George A. Custer, -were sworn to In Washington by Chief Iron White Man, one of the survivors of the famous battle. The chief's affidavit was made in connection with the filing of suits for $600,000,000 by members of the Sioux tribe as compensation for land lost as a result of Custer's invasion.
