Show I SPRING CITY ! By Special Correspondence Saturday, April 18th Mrs. Lewis Lew-is Black entertained at a dinner in honor of Mr. Black's seventieth birthday anniversary. Those present pres-ent were: Roy Black and family, Angus Black and family, Joseph I. Beck and family, Mr. and Mrs. Marsden Allred, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Thompson, Mrs. Mary Robinson, Rob-inson, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Mad-sen, Mad-sen, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Jensen, Bishop an Mrs. Samuel Allred, Mrs. Agnes Crawford, all of Spring City, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Braby and Mrs. John Jensen of Mount Pleasant. Mr. Black was the second white child born in Spring City. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Johnson and sons Walter and Ray motored from Salt Lake City Saturday to visit Mrs. Johson's mother, Mrs. Sarah Ciausen on Sunday, that day being Mrs. Clausen's birthday anniversary. A dinner was served serv-ed to her children and grandchildren grandchil-dren and other relatives. Mrs. Clausen was born seventy-five years ago in Denmark. Mr. Hogan Peterson, who has spent the winter months in Salt Lake City with his children returned re-turned home Sunday. Mrs. Elizabeth D. Larsen is ill at her heme. Mrs. Paul Lucow and little son of Salt Lake City were guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Sor-ensen, Sor-ensen, Mrs. Lucow's parents. Mrs. Albert Jensen ' and daughter daugh-ter Wanda of Holladay are visiting visit-ing with Mr. and Mrs. Orson P. Hansen in this city. Mrs. George Davis and sister Afton are visiting with their sister, Mrs. Bert Allred. Their father, Tom Livingston returned home with them after spending the winter win-ter in Salt Lake City. Gotfred Larsen left for Price last Thursday where he will be employed by the Beck and Black Sheep Co. Mrs. John H. Colman has gone to Pangultch to visit her mother, Mrs. Mary K. Allred on her seventy-first birthday anniversary, which is April 21st. Mrs. Allred spent the winter with Dr.- and Mrs. Bigelow of that city. Five of Mrs. Allred's daughters from different parts of the state were present for the anniversary. Miss Edna Watson, daughter of Willilam E. Watson is ill with pneumonia at her home. The Young Ladies Mutual Improvement Im-provement Association held th-5ir iun night in the Victory Theatre Tuesday evening. Mrs. Nielson and Mrs. Jones of the Stake Board were in attendance. A large crowd was present and a good time was .njoyed by all. Mrs. Arthur Robinson entertained H dinner Sunday for Mrs. France Madsen, Mrs. Stina Allred, Mrs. Joseph Aiken and daughter Ina, Mrs. Doyle Madsen, Mrs. Mary Robinson, William Schofield, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schofield and son Verdie, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Black The occasion was Mrs. Robinson's twenty-sixth birthday anniversary James R. Watson fell ill in his .icld west of town Monday. He .vas taken to town and medical Aid was summoned. He had suffered suffer-ed a paralytic stroke on the left 5ide of his body and head. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Justesen announce the marriage of their daughter Merlene to Verl W. Mor-an Mor-an of Fountain Green. They lave the best wishes of everyone 'or their future happiness and success. Mrs. Josephine Christensen who s blind celebrated her sixty-fifth Mrthday anniversary Tuesday. Mrs. Orson Hansen celebrated her forty-eighth birthday anniversary annivers-ary April 7th. She was hostess to he following guests: Mrs. Elizabeth Larsen, Mrs. Almina Peterson, Mrs Petrea Larsen, Mrs. Orin Jensen, Mrs. Alvin Bertleson, Mrs. Josephine Jose-phine Christensen and Mrs. Hyrum Peterson. |
