Show SPKINO CITY P. T. A. Meeting At Spring City Fridaylast at 3 P. M. a very Interesting Interest-ing session of the Parent-Teachers as-rociat.ion as-rociat.ion was held at the Junior High lichool. The President, Vera Downard, commented com-mented on the Health Program carried on by the school under the direction of the school nurse, Miss Harris. Musical numbers were furnished by n girl's chorus and by Miss Amy Cooper The features of the program was a talk on "Character Education" by Reid H. Allred. The organization selected the following follow-ing social committee to arrange a .social committee to arrange a social in the near future: Olga Beck, Chairman; Lon Allred, Secretary. j Farmers are rejoicing over the splendid snow fall brought by St. iValentine. Mr. and Mrs. James R. Watson, and William E. Watson were called to Idaho during the forepart of the week, due to the death of a sister residing there. Three weddings were celebrated here Wednesday evening, that, of Lois Watson Wat-son of Spring City and Melrose Prlteh-rtt Prlteh-rtt of Fairview, Etlia Madsen and Arthur Robinson of Spring City, and Laura Monson of Spring City and a gentleman from Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Allred are the proud parents of a baby boy. It Is reported that the baby and mother are doing nicely. Francis C. Madsen. came hame from the Desert Live Stock Co. during the week. He suffered a broken arm while at work. . Win. Soienscn, foreman tit the Company accompanied him home. Mrs. A. H. Maiben and son Maurice, of Salt Lake, were guests at the home of Mrs. Maiben's mother Mrs. Ellen Wilson, last week. They returned to their home Sunday afternoon. Tne H. M. C. Club met at the home of Mrs. John Jensen Wednesday. A jw member was added to the club. 1-s. Annie Peterson gave a reading Refreshments were served to ten guests it the conclusion. Mrs. Neil M. Madsen hT daughter, Miss Johanna and son, Willis of Price, nd Miss Evelyn Madsen, who is teach-n teach-n ; school at Helper, came to Mount l'acanl last evening to visit with rel- ' ives and friends. Pat Cambron has been home from he wst desert and reports the shep Wing fine. He took a miner back with him to work in the mine owned by Mr. Cambron and Ed. Lundberg. Mrs. Jesse Funk and two children left this week for her home In Colorado Springs, Colorado. |
