Mr. Ernest StucKi is a teacher in the agricultural department de-partment of the Fairview Junicr high school. They are formerly of Santa Clara, Uiah. Terry were pleasantly surprised Saturday Satur-day evening by their children, the event being Mr. Terry's K7th birth day aniversary. The early part of the evening was spen in music, mus-ic, tinging and dancing. An excellent ex-cellent luncheon was served. There were present: Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Barker, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Carl-ston, Carl-ston, Mr. and Mrs. Myron John-sen, John-sen, Mr. and Mis. Q. Tucker, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh C. Anderson, Mr. Wilford Terry, Miss Beulah Carl-ston Carl-ston and Mrs. Philinda Mower, all of Fairview, Mr. and Mrs. J. Lee Barker, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph .Tar lis of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Terry of Spring City, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Terry of Morgan. The married peoples costume dance sponsored by the adult class of the M. I. A. held in the Amusement Amuse-ment hall was a great success. More than fifty couples were in old fashioned costumes. Mrs. Ot-ney Ot-ney Andersen received the prize for having tne best ladies costume. cos-tume. Mr. Newell Cox received the prize for being the best costumed cos-tumed man. Mr. and Mrs. A. .L. Carlston received first prize and Mr. Preston Stewart and Mrs. Howard Rigby received second prize for dancing the Varsuvianne. Prof. Guy C. Wilson of Salt Lake City spent the weekend with friends at Fairview. A baby girl is announced at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Anderson, January 30th. The Gleaner girls of the North ward M. I. A. pleasantly surprised Mrs. Ellis Coombs at her home Wednesday evening. Games, music mu-sic and luncheon - was enjoyed by twenty girls. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse L. Young and Mrs. Ellis Coombs spent last weekend at Provo. The P. T. A. held their monthly month-ly meeting in the gym Thursday evening. Prof. Ephraim Jensen of the Snow College was the speaker. Mr. Britch gave two vocal solos; Chester Hill played two piano solos; Miss Nora Bench and Miss Fay Rigby sang a duet. A " social hour foillowed the program. pro-gram. Games, music and luncheon lunch-eon were enjoyed by one hundred and fifty guests. ' The luncheon was served by the :P. T. A. committee com-mittee under direction of Miss Hilda Hil-da Peterson, the domestic science teacher of the high school. |
