Draper Jr., has recently rec-ently returned from a trip to Los Angeles, California. Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Christensen Christen-sen announce the birth of a baby girl at their home. Mr. and Mrs. John Warner of Ogden were Moroni visitors last week. Mr. and Mrs.. Steven Peterson and their daughter Bernice of Salt Lake City were guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Blackham. Mr. and Mrs. Spafford Sumsion are the proud parents of a baby boy, born at the Dice hospital. Mrs. Ernest Anderson entertained entertain-ed twenty-four little friends of her daughter Geraldine last Frid-day, Frid-day, the occasion being her birthday birth-day anniversary. The Stake Old Toiks committee, the Stake Presidency and the Bishops and Councilors of all wards in the Moroni Stake met Friday evening of last week and decided to hold a Stake Old Folks party in Moroni on February Febru-ary 21st. The various committees will be announced later. Funeral services for Miss EWa E. Fescher were held Sunday afternoon af-ternoon in the East ward chapel, Bishop Elmo Irons presiding. Prayers were offered by Urvin Gee and Morgan Lamb. The speakers were Daniel Ander son, James Prestwich, Newell K. Young and Bishop Elmo Irons of Moroni, Daniel Rasmussen of Mt. Pleasant and Stake President J. L: Neilson of Fountain Green. The choir sang, "Come Unto Me" and "I Know that My Redeemer Re-deemer Liveth." John R. Blackham Black-ham and Mrs. P. J. Draper' Jr., sang, "Lead Me Gently Home." Solo, "Not Understood," Miss Gwen Blackham; solo, "Tired," Miss Lida Staer of Mt. Pleasant. Miss Fescher is the daughter of James C and Amelie Fescher. She was born July 14, 1905 in Heuer City. She was teaching school at Marysvale when she was stricken strick-en with her fatal sickness. Besides her parents she is survived sur-vived by a twin sister, Estrella, a sister Ina and an adopted brother, Maben Christensen, all of Moroni Interment was in the Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant cemetery. Mrs. C. W. Jensen has gone to Salt Lake City to receive medical attention. Her husband, Mrs. U.:-vin U.:-vin Gee and Mrs. Soren C. Niel-son Niel-son accompanied her Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Lamb, Mrs. John R. Blackham and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Blackham made a business trip to Salt Lake City last week. Mrs. John Anderson entertained the Bridge Club Friday evening. High score was won by Mrs. Francis Fran-cis Rasmussen, consolation prize by Miss Eva Barrett. Special guests were Mrs. Ross Madsen of Fountain Green and Mrs. Garden Jacobson of Salt Lake City. All members were present. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Irons were Salt Lake visitors last week. Mrs. Gardell Jacobson of Salt Lake was a Moroni visitor last week. |
