Show j FAIRVIEW By Special Corespondence The M Men and Gleaner Girls of the two Fairview wards joined in a banquet and dance at the gymnasium Saturday evening. The rooms were decorated in green, gold and blue. K. Stewart of the Northward acted as toastmaster, and ten people responded with toasts. Forty couples enjoyed the banquet which was followed by games and dancing. The Fairview High School under direction of Miss Inez Jeppson will present the play, "The Patsy" at the opera house Friday evening. The play is cast from members of the classes and includes Don Barker, Catherine Sundwall, Helen Lassen, Helena Anderson, Lavern Hansen, Ted Jones, Ruby Cox, and Lawrence Romaro. Jordan Mower has just returned from a mission to the East Central States, and Willis Brady has returned from the Central States Mission. A welcome home party will be given in their honor Saturday evening at the amusement hall. Both are missionaries mission-aries from the Fairview North ward. Mrs. A. U. Miner attended the Relief Re-lief Society and general Conference in Salt Lake City last week. j E. A. Allred was a Salt Lake visitor visi-tor last week. Mrs. E. A. Day Jr. of Greenriver and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Madsen of SaK Lawe were guests of Mrs. Bessie Cheney the past week. John L. Bench, Mr. and Mrs. Jamej Anderson, Mrs. E. H. Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Carlston attended conference confer-ence in Salt Lake the past week. Mr. O. L. Terry of Provo and Mr.' August Hjort of Springville visited relatives the last week. The South Ward Primary gave an apron and overall dance Wednesday evening. It was very successful. The two M. I. A's of Fairview will join in an opera which will be given . Saturday evening in the opera house, j It is entitled "The Bells of Capistra-na." Capistra-na." and is under the direction of Jesse L. Young. The cast, includes: Inez Jeppson, Roxy Peterson, Oleah Cox, Ellen Peterson, Minerva Stewart, Leah Madsen, Marion Tucker, Stanley Stan-ley Brady, Maitland Graham, Lewis Peterson, Raphael Clement, Floyd Young, Otis Nielson, Ernest Peterson, Peter-son, Monta Nordstrom and Leo Clark. The principles are assisted by a chorus chor-us of fifty voices. Th; opera is written writ-ten by the author who wrote "Le-lawala." "Le-lawala." Mr. and Mrs. B'. C. Williams of Florence. Montana, are visiting relatives rela-tives in Fairview. Mrs. Williams was formerly Miss Thelma Graham. Mrs. Leo Rigby of Tooele is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Bohne. The Fairview High School held their Freshie Hop Wednesday evening. The Freshman program included: Talk Leslie Coombs, class president Vocal solo Miss Inez Jeppson. Reading Arthur Nielson. Prognostication Miss Eda Parkinson. Parkin-son. . Games and dancing followed the program. |
