Dinner was served to the following guests' Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Puzey, Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Puzey, Mrs. Sarah Ann Justesen, Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth D. Larsen, Mrs. Lena Bradley, Brad-ley, Mrs. Lizzie B. Allred, Mrs. Robert Blain, Mrs. Lillian Mum-ane, Mum-ane, Mrs. Sarah Ann Beck. Mrs. Anna BiUington, Mrs. John A. Justesen, - Mrs. Deseret Larsen, Mrs. Lester Allred and Mr. and Mrs. Lance Brough; also the following fol-lowing grandchildren: Charles Le Grande, Willard, Beth and Nad Puzey, one great grandchild, Ark-ley Ark-ley Bae Allred and the hostess. Mrs. Puzey has lived in Spring City all of her married life. She has been a widow for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin J. Petersen Peter-sen cf Salina, Mrs. Daniel Larsen cf Winyard and Mr. and Mrs. George Kimber of Provo attended funeral services fcr Bishop Samuel Sam-uel Allred on January 22. Gilbert Nyberg and Leon Allred also came home from the Live Stock company to attend the services. Mr. and Mrs. William Green-halgh Green-halgh cf Nephi were guests Sunday Sun-day of Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Puzey. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Acord Jr. announce the marriage of their daughter, Beth, to Othello Hansen Han-sen of Mt. Pleasant, at Richfield January 20. The people of Spring City wish the young couple happiness hap-piness and success in their future. Quite a number of "Sprinii City people were in Mt. Pleasant on Monday to see the parade and dog derby. Mr. Arthur Robinson, the city electrician, has moved his family into the home formerly owned by Mrs. Georgeana Lund. Ross Allred and family of Dividend Div-idend motored here Sunday for a visit with friends and relatives. Charles Clark is visiting in Murray with his sister, Mrs. Jane Traton. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hotskins of Boise, Idaho are guests of her mother, Mrs. Agnes Crawforth. Mrs. Eve Jones has gone to visit vis-it with her son and family for a month at Woods Cross. Angus Black is ill at his home. Hyrum Larsen and son, Arret, of Provo were visiting relatives in this city Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Mart Walker of Provo Bench came here to attend the old folks party. They lived in this city until 19 years ago when they moved to Provo where they are engaged in fruit larming. Earl Ailred, manager of the Billiard Hall, was married last week to Viola Salsberg Ring. The citizens of Spring City wish them sucess and happiness in their ru-ture. ru-ture. Old Folks Party The annual Old Folks party was held in the Victory Hall Thursday, January 28th. Dinner was served at noon to 194 guests. In the afternoon the .following program was given: A one act play, "Watremelon," by Vivian Larsen and others; song, Odd Jolmason: accordian solo, Mrs. Laurine Allred; one act 'Play, by William Lee Allred and Boy Scouts Colonial dance, by Helena Bunnell, Bun-nell, Olga Black, Mary Jane Aiken Ida M. BiUington, Arelia Madsen, Rulh Allred, Emma Jensen and Darcus Blain; quartette, H. L. Acord Jr, Bishop James F. Ellis, Ernest Terry and Frank Hansen. Sarah Ann Justesen, 89, was the oldest lady present. Hemming Hansen was the oldest man there, being 84 years raid ten months. There were 3 other persons there over 80 years of age. A dance was given in the evening eve-ning with music by the Moon Winks orchestra. Those on the standing committee commit-tee are: Eishcp and Mrs. James F. Ellis, Mr. and Mrs. Reid H. Piient teachers meeting will be held Friday evening at 7 p. m. at the junior high school. Mr. A. E. Darlcy of the North Sanpete High School will give a course on grow-ig grow-ig potatoes. Mrs. Ethel Larsen will give a course on nutrition. Anyone interes'ed in thee subjects is invited. A go'-d program will also be given. |
