Pleasant visited with friends and relatives in Moroni last week. Mr. and Mrs. Theo Jackson announce an-nounce the birth of a baby girl at their home. Mr. James Larsen and Mrs. Sylvia Syl-via Christensen were married last week in the Salt Lake Temple. They will make their home in Moroni. Morcni won two ball games again last Friday night. The Juniors Jun-iors vs. Fountain Green, 8-10, and the Moroni High School vs. North Sanpete, 6-19, both in favor of Moroni. Mrs Frank Bruno is visiting relatives in Provo this week. Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Gowers are the proud parents of a baby girl born at the Dice hospital January 25. Mrs. Gowers was formerly Miss Hannah Anderson of this city. Mr. Spafford Sumsion, principal of the Moroni high school, was called to Springville last Monday on account of the death of his father. He was buried Wednesday January 27th in Springville. We all join in deepest sympathy with Mr. Sumsion. The Parent Teachers held their weekly meeting Monday night at the high sshool at 7:30. After the preliminary program the class work was taken up. Eight different differ-ent subjects are taught each Monday Mon-day night. The officers and teachers are very much pleased with the crowd of adults that come out each week to take advantage ad-vantage of this great opportunity given them. Refreshments were served to forty guests. The East ward M. I. A. presented present-ed three one act plays Wednesday night in the Kozy Theater. A good crowd attended. Mrs. Ezra Dixon of Colorado was visiting relatives and friends in Moroni last week. Mrs. Blanch Herder of Salt Lake City spent a part of last week in Moroni. |
