Show Fairview Boy Dies at Logan V(.y impressive funeral service.; for Fred Leo Cox, 19, we-2 held in the South ward chap:.': Tuesday with Bishop Peter Nielson in chi.i ge. The choir san; "My Father Knows." The openir.u' prayer pray-er was given by Peter Sundwall, alter which the choir sang "What Voice Salutes the Startled Ear." The speakers were: Newel Cox, Oscar Christensen, Bishop Peter Neilson and Bishop H. P. Hansen. Special musical numbers were given by Jesse L. Young and his quartette, and Miss Thera Lou Olsen of Manti. The choir's closing clos-ing song was "Rock of Ages" and the benediction was pronounced by E. H. Anderson. The floral offerings were profuse. pro-fuse. Six of his chums were pall bearers: Harry Sundwall. Worth Bench, Chad Cox, Merril Hammond, Ham-mond, Ned Hansen and Douglas Jorgensen. Interment was in the Fairview City Cemetary, where Burns Cox dedicated the grave. Fred Leo Cox was born October 19, 1912 in Fairview, Utah. He was the son of Bruce and Sadie Christensen Chris-tensen Cox. Fred went to Logan two weeks ago to undergo an operation op-eration for apendicitis. He died in a Logan hospital Saturday, January 23, from pneumonia. He is survived by one brother and two listers: Max Cox, Glendale, Utah; Zella Cox, Salt Lake City, and Ruby Cox, Provo. This was the first funeral to be held in the Fairview South ward meeting house. |
