Show FuneralHeldfor Andy Peterson at Castle Dale Funeral services for Andrew (Andy) Peterson were held In the ward chapel In Castle Dale Tuesday, Tues-day, December 20 with BLshop E. A. Nlelson In charge. The following speaker paid tribute to the life of Mr. Peterson: Stake clerk Louis P. Oveson, who read a letter of condolence to Mrs. Peterson from Bishop Peter Sundwall of Fair-view; Fair-view; Bishop John Y. Jensen, Dr. J. W. Nixon and President N. L. Williams. The ward choir under the direction of Principal Glen A Rowe Rave three numbers with Blan Fox as soloist in the closing number. Mr. Rowe gave a violin solo. Mrs. L. T. Hunter gave a vocal solo with violin obbligato by Mr. Rowe. Margaret Keller ac-companed ac-companed all the musical numbers. num-bers. Prayers were offered by Seth Allen and Hyrum Rasmussen. Joseph Jo-seph Zwahlen dedicated the grave. Interment was in the Castle Dale cemetery. Mr. Peterson was born in Fountain Foun-tain Oreen December 12, 1877 and was the son of James Marinus and Mary Anderson Peterson. He came to Castle Dale at the age ol three years with his parents, where he lived for twenty years. Later he entered the timber business bus-iness for the Utah Fuel Company. In 1914 he moved to Fairview. He married Mary Linguist of Fair-view Fair-view In July 21, 1917 at Evanston, Wyoming. He was manager of the Pioneer Market at Fail-view for 14 years. While in Fairview he did a great deal in helping all the church organizations or-ganizations and civic affairs. He was always very charitable to the needy. Mr. and Mrs. Peterson moved to Castle Dale three years ago. Mr. Peterson suffered a severe Illness two years ago which left him an invalid. He was noted for his cheerful disposition through all his illness. He died suddenly ... Saturday, December 17, from a stroke. The survivors are his widow; two sisters, Mrs. Trena Ray, Jerome, Jer-ome, Idaho and Mrs. Caroline Zeyen, Tacoma Washington; one brother, David Peterson, Catls Dale; two half brothers, Soren Peterson, Pe-terson, Cleveland, and Hyrum Peterson, Pe-terson, California. |
