Pleasant ,Lions Club saw the necessity of organizing or-ganizing a baseball team in Mount 'Pleasant. At one of the meetings a committee was appointed to scour ihe woods and scare out fellows who could spell baseball., A few days fater the round-up was made, a good line-luip of fellows was obtained and the Ball was started Rolling. Since that time the baseball fans have seen some games that have .given them the' thrills of the good (old days. : . The games played, whether won or lost, have been done by the good fighting spirit of our team. People of Mt. Pleasant should appreciate ap-preciate the efforts of the players, who are sacrificing for the ;good of the town, and also for the building up'of our National Game in this val-!ey. val-!ey. The class of baseball that is being played at the present time deserves much more support by the fans. During the last week the following ,games have been played: On Thursday Mt. And on Friday at Fairview the local Kara lost the game to the boys of North Bend with a score of 21 to 22, and it was some .game at that. : Saturday the Hub City nine put lone over on Salt Lake on the local diamond. The city boys from up North could not run fast enough to ('keep up with the out door sports of Mt. Pleasant and when the game ias finished and all the runs counted, it was fo.und that the Salt Lake chaps were lacking a number of tallies. The game ended with a rore of 13 to 7 in favor of the Lions iteam. It is evident that the local boys yre doin their best to make a showing show-ing for Mt.
