Mrs. Ernest Terry entertained Saturday Sat-urday at a kensington and luncheon for the following ladies, Mrs. Maud Swan, Mrs. Elva Peterson Mrs Thetaia Mower, Mrs. Georgia Bench and Mrs. Valeria Howell. Mrs. Lewis Miller of Springville is visiting her mother, Mrs. Vilate Sorensen, this week. Miss Elva Sorensen, a nurse in the L- D. 8. hospital, spent the past month on a trip to Alaska, also visited visit-ed Seattle, Portland, ,San Francisco and other points of interest on the Pacific coast. She spent the past week with Fairview relatives. Mrs. Loren Hamilton ana Mrs. II, M. Kasnxissen, entertained Thursday evening for the following ladies, Mrs. Ira Cox, Mrs. A. D. Christensen, Mrs. S. B. Rigby, Mrs. Reuben Christensen Mrs. Ray Brady and Mrs. Wm. Doide music, games and luncheon was' enjoyed. I Udell Fowles was attacked by a holstein bull last week, his collar bone was broken and he was badly tvu.'ied. He had presence of mind enough to roll under the fence and get away or the bull might have Killed him. Mrs. Clara Peterson, left this week to visit her children in Idaho. She expects to go through Yellow SI one park, with hep son and daughter in law Mr. and Mrs. Jack Peters n of Iciaho Falls. The new electric plane is being used us-ed on the floor of the amusement hall, this week. They expect to make r:ie tloor as good as any dance tloor in the county. At the Relief society conference held Sunday evening, Mrs. Pearl Cnristensen was released as secretary and Mrs. Delta Nielson, was sustained in her place. Mrs. Christensen, has moved to Salt Lake, to make her home 1 he annual mothers and daughters oufir( of the Fairview, Sou"h ward was held, Friday August 5th. at the farm of Mr. Ben Smith near Oak-creek Oak-creek canyon. More than 130 'mothers and daughters attended. They cooked breakfast, had a pro ,-rara in the afternoon. After dinner another program was given. The Junior girls, the Beehive girls and the gleaner girls each gave a short dramatization dram-atization story. The junior girls won the prize. Ice cream was served to all by tlhe Mutual officers. A number of girls went in bathing, at the conclusion con-clusion of the day. |
