Show MOON LIGHT Hi UP ill NEBO The third annual Mount Nebo moonlight hike will take place Friday evening, August 12, the night of the August full moon, A big community bonfire program will be held in tho cool depths of the canyon at the foot of the trail, beginning at eight o'clock o'-clock and shortly after moonrise tho hikers will take off, under the leader ship of Forest Ranger Aaron P. Chris Hansen, up the winding trail which zigzags back and forth across oni of the great shoulders of the mountains, commanding at all times a magnificent magnifi-cent view of deep canyons, and d!s taut moonlight mountains, until at last the backbone of the majestic mountain is reached, thence along the backbone, ever ascending, until at last the towering sulmmitt is reached, reach-ed, in time to see the day dawn over far away summits of the Rockies. The Kiwanis CHUb of Nephi, which sponsors the Mount Nebo hike, assures as-sures everyone who attends the bonfire bon-fire program in the canyon a delightful delight-ful evening; but unqualifiedly guaranteed guar-anteed that all who make the ascent of the towering sentinel mountain and view from its summit the mystical mysti-cal beauty of the approach of dawn along a three hundred mile horizon of distant mountains will beQiold a scene of jgrandur and unagnificent solemnity which cannot be surpassed the round world over. Invitation is extended to all nature lovers throughout the state to extend the 'hike and join in the bonfire festivities fes-tivities preceding the event. |
