Show The Vocational Agricultural Teachers Conclude Big Conference at U. A. C. The vocational agricultural teach-j ers from the various higlh schools of! the state had one of its most successful success-ful conferences at the Utah Agricultural Agricul-tural College last. week. The high school teachers of agriculture agri-culture meet once each year at the call of the State Supervisor of Agriculture Agri-culture of the State Department of Education. The majority of the rural high schools of the state are providing courses by which the boys can learn the business of farming. This is done not only by class room work but by having contact with actual ! farm operations under supervision, j Vocational agriculture is growing ! in the state. The ranks at the an-i an-i nual conference were swelled this year. by the presence of agricultural teachers from Springville, Granite, Moroni, Manti, Richfield, St. George, Roosevelt, and Weber high schools. ; The majority of the teachers U'Ok ' part on the program. Several points were outstanding in the proccecdings :of the conference as follows: The need for a closer cooperation among farmers is generally recognized recogniz-ed everywhere. To assist in this movement, the boys of the state are being organized as a Junior Farm Bureau. It is proposed that each school shall send delegates each year to the Junior Farm Bureau Convention Conven-tion which is held as one division of the Senior Farm Bureau. In this j movement the State Farm Burea.:, through its Exeoutiive Secretary, M. S. Winder, Is giving full support. More systematic instruction, closer supervised project work, and a more comprehensive program in agriculture agri-culture were points which will receive re-ceive more consideration in next year's program. The group of agriculural teachers effected an organization designated as the Utah Teachers of Vocational Agriculture which J. W. Kirkhride of North Cache Hig'h School as President, Presi-dent, Chas.
