A number of special guesrs were al-o al-o in attendance including the North .aid bisboprK:, the stake presidency, and close friends and church associates asso-ciates of President and Mrs. Ras-niuisen. Following an elaborate dinner sorv-ed sorv-ed at three long tables beautifully Icvorated in profusion of early sum-.ie, sum-.ie, flowers combined with the na-. na-. oual colors, a varied program f readings, music, and family .ketches was enjoyed on the spaci-nis spaci-nis lawns which had been brilliantly brilliant-ly ll;hted for the occasion. Short iddresses were made by President S. M. Nielsen and President James L. Mielsen of iFountaiin Green. A landsome gold 'watch was presented lo President Rasmussen by the Ras-nussen Ras-nussen family association, which in- lu.les the families of Mr3. L. P. 'tad-en, L. C. Rasmussen, Martin .tn.imai.ssen, Uan.iel Rasmussen and lirasrua Rasmussen of Mt. Pleasant; .Vilford Rarmius-jen of Fairview, Mrs. UJbert Kenner of Snowvilla and ohn Rasmussen of Kenilworth. L. Easmu-isen was elected president if the faauilly association and Presi-lent Presi-lent Daniel Rasmur.sen was elected a i: etary. -President Rasmussen was married inly 30th., 1902 to Miss Jennie Jor-v Jor-v usen of Mt. Pleasant and they have resided here since. They are the parents of five children, Ervtn, a itudent of the B. Yl U. at Provo, Miss Mary Rasmussen, a teacher In the Boxelder county schools, and Paul, Howaird, and Esther Rasmus-son Rasmus-son all of Mt. Pleasant. President Rasimusscn is a graduate of the B. V. U. and has -been prominent in ed-.ealio.r ed-.ealio.r circles in Utah for twenty hive years. He has taught school for more than twenty years and la at present a member uf the faculty if North San.pete high school. Ho has been prominent also In civic and religious activities having served six '.'onus as city recorder and as mayor ;f this c.'ly in 1916-17. He was . b! :liop of Ihe Mt. Pleasant North I ward, from 1904 to 1909 and has been a member of the stake presidency presi-dency since 1914. He fulfilled a i. .ilsiion in the New England states in 1899 to 1901, and Is at present active in all civic, political, and re-Utlfious re-Utlfious activities In Central Utah. In addition to lis school work, President Rasmussen engages In lanning, and Bheep and slock raising. |
