Show 1 RUSSIA LENDS I TO WHEAT POOL WORLD GATHERING CONSIDER PRICE METHODS THROUGH COOPERATION Canadian Delegates Tell of Their Plans; Jardine Pledges United States Support Kansas City Representatives of the cooperative wheat growers of soviet Russia pledged themselves to the aim j of international cooperation In the production and marketing of wheat at the world wheat pool conference here, j Sau' G. Bron of Moscow, head of the Russian delegation, delivered to the conference the message that it was not the intention of the Russian cooperatives co-operatives to "injure prices." "Russia will sell nt the world price j and take her chances with the others," i he said. "It will work out." j Mr. Bron estimated that Russi?. would be exporting 100,000,000 bushels of wheat in the next two years. Asked if this might not adversely affect the export of American wheat and possibly drive down prices, he replied: j "Perhaps so, but remember that do- j mestic consumption is increasing, both in Russia and other countries." William M. Jardine, secretary of agriculture, ag-riculture, brought to the conference,' which is being attended by representatives represen-tatives of what pools in the United States, Canada, Russia and Australia, a pledge of assistance of the United States department of agriculture for the wheat pool movement. |
