Show Flames Halt Rescue of Miners Fairmont, W. Va. Tho fate of seventy-six miners entombed in the Ever-cttsville Ever-cttsville mine for twenty-four hours was undetermined as rescue crews worked frantically to extinguish a fire in the blast-torn tunnels. All rescue work was suspended while mining experts fought the flames.
