LOYI) L i RSON INS TAYLOR PIANO CONTEST The annual Lester Taylor plane contest gold medal was won by Flovd Larson, of Mt. Pleasant, pup.il of Prof. Klmer E. Nolson of the Ti. Y. U. mu-,c mu-,c department, Monday. There were ive contestants, all students of the University miusic department. ' A year ago Mr. Larson won the ,'ardoe gold medal in the wind in-iti'ument in-iti'ument contest. Other participants in the piano ontest were Thera Lou Olsen, Helen Watson, Beryl Jackson and Lucile Olsen. Each contestant played "The Minuet" by Padereu -ki and one selection se-lection of the player's own choice. The judges were Mrs. Alene Ciuff ' 'minions. Mrs. Florence Newell Nel-cn Nel-cn and Miss Gertrude Olsen. Fioyd Larson is a son of Mrs. Hy-mm Hy-mm Christensen of this city.
