Indiana university, which more than two years ago began raising a fund for the construction of a modern football and athletic stadium, is to see the dream of many years reach fruition on September 27 when the Rose Poly and Indiana elevens inaugurate the new concrete ellipse at Bloomington. Plans for the inaugural game have been all but completed and It is hoped to make this a memorable occasion. Indiana In-diana university has been striving for many years to finance this stadium, and the vision of the alumni and students stu-dents who have worked hard in the raising of the fund seems destined to be realized in full. The present plans call for the stadium sta-dium to be turned over to the Indiana university trustees September 1. The contractors have promised that delivery deliv-ery will be made on that date, and unless un-less some unforeseen hitch arises the inaugural game with Rose Poly will be played in the new home of football. Work on the Indiana stadium was halted during the winter after construction con-struction of the cement sides had progressed pro-gressed favorably last fall.
