Fears are expressed that, having denounced de-nounced this treaty and refused to conclude con-clude a new treaty except on terms of equality, the Peking government, despite de-spite its weakness from a military viewpoint, will proceed to denounce the treaties with' Great Britain and the j United States, which are due to expire ex-pire at an early date. |
