Show ARMISTICE DAY WELL OBSERVER BY CITY Special patriotic programs were pre.si-.-.-.oJ in all the schools Thursday morning featuring Armistice day add-i esses, Sidney Sperry of Moroni spoke at the public meeting in the North ward chapel as did also Charles Parsons of Salt Lake. Mr. Parsons also al-so addressed the student bony a.,. Wasatch Academy and Mr. I'.i snti-and snti-and Mr. Sperry botli spoke in Ase-ii bly at North Sanpete high s.-boci. Patriotic nnusic was a fealure u meetings. A patriotic program was given under un-der the auspices of the American Legion at the North Ward chapel at 10:30 o'clock. Guns were fired at 11: o'clock by Battery D in reverence to our soldiers dead. . In the afternoon North Sanpete ir.rrh and Wasatch Academy foot ball teams met in the most thrilling; game the two schools ever played. It was a tug of war from start to finish. fin-ish. Each team did their very best and tried hard to win. At times it seemed that Wasatch would win and then again it appeared that Sanpete San-pete would be the winning team. When time was finally called for the teams to cease playing neither team had scored. |
