Show Will Blow Up Mountain Ogden, A gigantic blast which will cause the collapse of a hill 1000 feet long and 150 feet high will be operated by the Western Pacific railroad rail-road engineering department in the next few days at Timpie, Utah. The blast, which is expected to crumble 150,000 cubic yards of rock will be used in building a twelve-mile breakwater break-water by engineers from different parts of the West. The rock obtained obtain-ed from the blast will be used in building a twelve-mile breakwater along the southern shores of the Great Salt Lake. The breakwater will be laid fifteen feet from the shore of the lake and will be built for the purpose of protecting the tracks from the rising waters of the lake. |
