Show Court Upholds Zoning Power Washington The right of municipalities municip-alities to enact zoning ordinances was sustained by the supreme court in a case from Minneapolis. The court Interpreted In-terpreted its recent decision in the zoning case from the village of Euclid, Onto, as having established the validity val-idity of zoning regulations as proper restriction upon property rights, leaving leav-ing open only the question of the reasonableness rea-sonableness of particular regulations. The order of the lower courts in the Minneapolis case, which was brought by Charles B. Berry, was affirmed without with-out comment. Berry did not challenge any specific restriction, but contended that zoning ordniances as a whole coo-stituted coo-stituted unconstitutional interference with property rights. |
