MEET By winning two debater Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon at Ephraim, the debaters de-baters of the North Sanpete High School won the championship of district No. 5, which consists of the Ncphi, Moroni, iManti and North Sanpete San-pete high schools. The North Sanpete affirmative team which consists of Miiss Ila Miner ami Miss Geinile Allied, defeated the Manti negative, while the negative team of North Sanpete was defeating the Morcni affirmative team. Miss )-'o rente Noland ami Mr. Joseph Han-Ben Han-Ben compose the North Sanpete negative nega-tive team. P.olli decisions were 2 to " 1 in favor or the local teams. The spueches weie 12 minutes In length with 5 mir.nUe rebuttals. Three of the four debates participated partici-pated in by the local students have been won, the only defeat bavin? .been suffered at the hands of the Manti neatite team at Manti las: ' week. As a result of these victories the North Sanpete debaters will contest at Provo, April 17, for the Division Championship with the winners of one of the Northern Districts. A most successful debating season lias been enjoyed this year, there having hav-ing been 100 students actively engaged en-gaged in debatiin,'.
