Show FAIR VIEW The stork visited the homes of Eli A. Day Jr. May 3rd and Hugo Mower, May 2ndr and presented eacli with a baby boy. Mr. and Mrs. Newel Cox are rejoicing rejoic-ing over the arrival of a baby girl at their home May 7. A baby daughter was welcomed at the home of Frank Cox May 2 2. A fine baby boy arrived at the home of Dr. S. B. Rigby May 21. Miss Elsiie Sorenson, who visited relatives at Springville last week, went to Salt Lake City Monday. Miss Beth Keat, who taught in the Junior High School the past winter, returned to her home at Salt Lake this week. Miss Mae Madsen is spending the week visiting in Salt Lake City. Miss Ethel Lindquist returned to Salt Lake City on Saturday to continue con-tinue her music work. Miss Rowena Vance of Gunnison is a Fairview visitor this week. Mrs. Earnest Brady of Tooele is spending the week as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Brady. Jesse Young, who taught school at GumniL'on 'hq past year, returned home last week. Mrs. Lizzie Allred went to Salt Lake City Wednesday to visit her son William Allred, who has been called to the colors and leaves this week to work for Uncle Sam. Mr. and Mrs. N. P. Christensen and family moved to Idaho last week where they expect to spend the summer. sum-mer. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Fowles;, tvho spent the past winter at Salt Lake City, are home for the -summer. Myron Vance and Welby Turpin went to Schofield this week where they have employment. The May Day Celebration, held on May 22, was quite a success. An excellent ex-cellent program was given in the L. D. S. Chapel. Lunches, ice cream, and candy were sold for the benefit of the Sunday School. A lively game of ball was played by the boys from the east and west part of 'the city. The matinee and childrens' dance was called off on account of scarlet fever. A dance in the Pavilion concluded con-cluded the festivities. ' Scarlet Fever is reported at the homes of C. L. Pritchett, James Peterson, Pe-terson, Myron Johnson, Erastus Garlic, Gar-lic, Mrs. Sophia Hansen, and Ms. Lyda Olsen. . It became' scattered as several who had had it thought it was the German measles. A dancing party will be given at the Pavilion Friday evenrng in honor of the boys who have lately been called to the colors. Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Jensen came over from Sunnyside anil visited relatives re-latives the past week. Mr. Jensen leaves soon for the training camps. |
