All Aliens Advocating Anarchy or Sabotage Sab-otage Will Be Arrested and Sent Out of the Country If Such Move Is Deemed Advisable. Washington.-A general roundup of alien disturbers in the Pacific .Nor b-west, b-west, spreading sabotage and anarchy, was ordered on March 2. by the d. -partment of labor. All aliens preaching preach-ing these doctrines. Secretary W nson ruled, v hether they be members ol t he I. W. W. or not. shall be confined lot deportation from the country. An order was issued by the secretary secre-tary to immigration officers at Seattle to proceed at once in accordance win the following ruling : 1. That we will not arrest, retain or deoort any alien simply for joining the I. W. W. . 2. That we will arrest and detain, until we can report, any alien, whether member of the I. W. W. or not, who is found advocating or teaching the unlawful un-lawful destruction of property or advocating ad-vocating or teaching anarchy or the overthrow by force or violence of the government of. the United States or of all formi of law, or the assassination of public officials, who is in other manner subject to the deportation under un-der the immigration laws, even though he may not commit any overt act. 3. If the quarters at the Seattle station sta-tion are not ample to take care of all who may be arrested and detained for deportation under these instructions, the commissioner at Seattle will be authorized to secure additional quarters. quar-ters.
