Show FAIR VIEW Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mills entertained enter-tained Saturday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson. .The eening was spent in pleasant games together with music. Covers were laid for the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Heber Pehrson, Mr. and Mrs. James . Peterson Mr. and Mrs. Albert Norman, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Mower, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Christenson, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Holliman, Mrs. Stena Olson, Mrs. J. C. Carlston', Mrs. James Orton, Sr., Mrs. Willard Mow-sr, Mow-sr, Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson, Miss Eva Orton, Miss Mae Mills, and the host and hostess. On Thursday, Feb. 2 8, Mrs. Andrew An-drew Lassen entertained a number of friends at a kensington. The afternoon aft-ernoon was spent in needle work and social chat. A delicious luncheon was served in courses. Those present pres-ent were Mrs. John Christenson, Mrs. Albert Christenson, Mrs. Niels Lassen, Las-sen, Mrs. Ole Lassen, Mrs. Stena 01-sen, 01-sen, Mrs. Heber Pehrson, Mrs. Louisa Lundquist, Mrs. Nellie Graham, Gra-ham, Mrs. Swen O. Nielson, Mrs. C. R. Fahring and the Misses Gladys Graham, Cleon and Clista Lassen. Miss Queena Sanderson and Stanley Stan-ley Peterson were married at Manti March 6. They are receiving congratulations con-gratulations from their many friends. They will make their home at Fair-view. Fair-view. A bundle shower was given at the home of Mrs. Victor Howell by Ethel Allred and Mrs! Victor Howell How-ell Monday evening in honor of Mrs. Peterson. The time was spent in games and social chat. Dainty re-' freshments were served to seventeen guests. I The Ladies' Literary club met at ' the home of Mrs. Ephraim Madsen. A paper on Women's True Patriotism was given by Mrs. Swen O. Nielson. A talk on the "Habits and Customs of che People of Norway" was given by Archie Christenson. Friday evening, March 1, about forty friends of Mr. and Mrs. N. P. Christenson gave them a pleasant iurprise party. The evening was spent in music, games and dancing. A splendid luncheon was served at 10:30. A Scandinavian song was sung by Mrs. N. P. Christenson. One new member was received and one new application. Fourteen members and four visitors were present. Dainty refreshments were served. Mrs. Peter Sundwall, Jr., and children chil-dren came from Sait Lake City this week to join her husband. They will make their home in Fairview as Mr. Sundwall has a position in the bank. Mrs. J. W. I Mrs. Tyson Tucker went to Salt I Lake Thursday to meet her husband who has spent the past two years on ; a mission to England. j Mr. aad Mrs. A. A. Johnson and j Mr. and Mrs. Monta Johnson of Salt ! Lake City are spending the week at : Fairview. Mrs. S. A. Carter and little son ; Ray went to Helper last week to join , her husband, who is employed in the ; bank at that place. Hans Sorenson, who went to Springville last week to visit his daughter Mrs. John R. Anderson is reported very ill. Miss Cleon Lassen who spent the past two months on a trip to California, Califor-nia, New Mexico and Texas, returned home last Wednesday. Mrs. Calder of Vernal is a guest at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ephraim Eph-raim Madsen. John Swenson and family leave this week for San Juan county, where they expect to make their home. |
