Show SPRING CITY RELIEF SOCIETY NOTES On Monday, March 4, a special message was given to all Relief Society Socie-ty teachers of the Spring City Ward by the Relief Society Presidency. Elizabeth Larsen, Mary Brough and Christeiia Blaiir lor the teachers to meet at the Bishop's oilne on March 5, at 7:30 p. m. A most unique surprise parly was awaiting them prepared by ail the officers of the Relief Society. The evenings entertainment began by all singing "Love at Home." Invocation Invoca-tion by M. -E. Acord. All sang "Count Your Blessings." Speech of Welcome, Pres. Elizabeth Larsen. A Medely of Patriotic Songs, Relief Society Junior Choir. After the program, pro-gram, all were ushered Into the adjoining ad-joining room where various games were played. Benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by Sister Ellen C. Tulgren. They adjourned at 10:30 p. rn. The following new members are reported by Mr. J. M. Johnson, as having joined the Red Cross this week: A. P. C. Thompson, Mrs. L. M. Christianeen, Ada Christiansen Mrs. Emmeline Candland, Mrs. Maud Acord and Loren Brough. Through the courtesy of the school board, the ladies have at their disposal a room at the school house, where they meet on Tuesday and Thursday of each v -.ek to do Red Cross work. Eugene Allred has made a beautiful chest, free of charge, for the storing away o. the various supplies the ladies haie on hand. The ladies appreciate these considerations, and acknowledge acknowl-edge them with thanks. the sale of War Saving and Thrift Stamps for January and February has amounted to $?..0(Mi.4 1. ,Tan-j ,Tan-j uary sales totaling $2,057.36. One hundred per cent of the boys and girls of the Junior High are represented in th is money saving, sav-ing, money loaning effort that spells defeat for the Huns, i Judge Joshua Greenwood of the Public Utilities commission visited Spring City to listen to some proposed propos-ed changes with reference to the operating op-erating of the municipal electric light plant. All customers, If the commission com-mission grants the proposed change, i will have their current measured to them through a 'meter to be furnish-; furnish-; ed by the city. The minimum meter rate being one dollar per month. ' The M. 1. A. Dramatic company presented "My Brother's Keeper" to la large, well-satisfied audience Friday, Fri-day, Mar. 1. The work of Melvin Blain and Aleith Allred being especially es-pecially commendable. The company com-pany repeated the play Saturday night in the Fairview Opera House for the benefit of their Mutuals. The players report a kindly welcome, j Mrs. William Osborn, who sent each enlisted man from Spring City a fruit cake and otheT delicacies for Christmas, has just received word !rom Clarence Hanfen, who is "somewhere "some-where in France," acknowledging receipt re-ceipt of his package, and saying the '.ontenU were in excellent condition upon arrival. The new generator has arrived for the Municipal Light plant, and is now '. e'ng installed under the direction of Ernest Anderson of Fountain Green, who has the work of remodelling the plant in charge. When completed, we will have a strictly up-to-date lighting system. The Public Schools are proud of I their Junior Red Cross membership I record. All except twenty of the I three hundred and twenty being en-I en-I rolled. Mr. and Mrs. Amasa Madsen and !
