When the Kaiser heard of us Me pulled his hair and cursed, And sent up ten divisions To stop our gallant rush. His efforts they were useless, And his troubles were in vain, For the Fighting Fourth were ready And drove them back again. Our infantry were fearless, And kept them on the run. Our gallant machine gun company Picked off every Hun. And our brilliant Artillery sure made' tilings hum. Our airial forces sure were fine, ' They flew across the lines. And brought us information That saved us every time. . Then take our Signal Corps, Their job is not a cinch. But you'll always find them handy When you need them in a pinch. Our Red Cross boys were busy, Bringing wounded from the brush, And our Ambulance, They were always in a rush. Now let the memories of our fallen comrades, Go in the halls of fame, And there forever ring in the heart of every Hun. For the Fighting Fourth is made of men who dare and do, That's how we won our name. The fearless Fourth kept on fighting, And drove Bill off his throne.
