Show GROUND SQUIRRELS OR STOCK WHICH? From ten to twenty ground squirrels, squir-rels, depending upon the nature of the pasture, will consume enough forage during a season to support a cow. Their pasturage, together with that of the weevil, the grasshopper, the gopher and the weeds, would, if eliminated, enable the farmers of Sanpete Caunty to increase their livestock by One-third. Can we cut down this waste? Yes! It only takes a small amount of poison, used intelligently, by each and eveiy member of the community whose premises are infested, to control con-trol this pest. It was demonstrated In Sanpete County last season that it could be done; and crops to the amount of at least $3585.00, according accord-ing to conservative estimates. What to do. First of all, Join The Farm Bureau. This will link you up with your neighbor. Then apply to your Farm Bureau committeeman on "the ground squirrel project for poison. Follow the instructions In putting the poison out. Keep track of the amount of the poison that you use, the approximate number of acres treated, and the results. Report it to the committeeman from whom you secure the poison. We want to know much igood is actually being done in this project. Count the number of dead dogs you can locate.
