Show FARMERS' ROUND-UP A GREATMCESS With a large attendance of farmers and housewives at all the sessions, the three days farmers' round-up and housekeepers house-keepers conference held here Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Wed-nesday is voted a success and well worth the efforts put forth by the local farm bureau and high school, which organization organiza-tion sponsored the undertaking. undertak-ing. One of the most intersting lessons given at the school of the farmers was the stock judg ing demonstration given by Dr. Carroll at the J. B. Staker place where dairy cattle and beef cattle "were brought for this purpose. Here Dr. Carroll Car-roll explained to the fanners how to select animals for various vari-ous types of use on the farm. Lectures were given each evening on subjects of vital importance im-portance to the farmer in Utah Crop rotation was urged by the college men. It was stated stat-ed that the soil fertility would be kept up so much better. A farmers' ball was given Wednesday evening in conclusion con-clusion of the sessions. |
