Under the direction of Jesse Young the Juior High School of Fairview will. present the comic opera, "College Days" jby Wilson Dodge. The lead- ing characters will be takeu .by Floyd Young, Olea Cox, Neldon Young, Allie Peterson, (Stanley Brady, and Floral Miner, assisted by a chorus of 1 50 voices promises to be a very ' good attraction. The proceeds pro-ceeds will go for the benefit of the school. One of the social events of the week was the celebration of Mr. John Vance's 50th. anniversary an-niversary at his home February Febru-ary 25th. An excellent supper jwas served and the evening , was spent in merry games and (a program was given of music and singing. Jewel Peterson, who is now attending school at the University Uni-versity of Utah has received a call for the Swiss, and Ger- man mission. ' Edwin Olsen and his mother I Mrs. Stena Olsen came from I ( Salt Lake Saturday. Mr. Ol-lsen Ol-lsen has lately returned from a mission to New York where he labored for twenty-eight months. He was the speaker at Sunday School and Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting February 26th. Mrs. James Oborn of Union is the guest of her sister, Mrs. Mary Larsen this Aveek. Mr. George Olsen was a Salt Lake visitor Saturday and Sunday. Dr. and Mrs. S. B. Rigby are receiving congratulations on the arrival of a baby girl February Feb-ruary 28th. - . A baby girl was welcomed March 2nd. by Mr. and Mrs. Basil Jensen at the home of Mrs. Jensen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Madsen. The South Ward Mutuals gave a special program Tuesday Tues-day evening in which forest ranger Orange Olsen gave an illustrated lecture on '"Fish and Wild Animals," Avhich was listened to by a large and appreciative audience. Other numbers of the program were a vocal solo by Mrs. Maud Graham Gra-ham and a reading by Mrs. S. S. Sanderson. LeRoy Rigby, Amasa Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, and John L. Bench went to Salt Lake City this week with the County Commissioners Com-missioners to meet with the delegation to work for the interest in-terest of the east side road. All the students who were attending the Snow Normal College from Fairview returned return-ed home Wednesday on ac count of the epidemic of Influ. enzaz at Ephraim. Mrs. Wm. Terry is spending spend-ing the week in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Maude Richards, who was the guest of her sister, Mrs. Andrew Amundsen, returned re-turned to her home at Union Thursday. Mrs. William Garlic, Jr. entertained en-tertained a number of ladies at a kensington and luncheon Thursday evening.
