Show Crissinger May Allow Branches Washington. Comptroller of the Currency Crissinger is understood virtually to have decided on a policy toward the moot question ot the right of national banfcj to establish branches. He ts said to take the view that "additional offices" might be established by national banks under proper circumstances, but that "branches" "bran-ches" might not be maintained. Belief Be-lief was expressed at the treasury that the comptroller would issue a formal ruling covering the question in, general, but that applications of national na-tional banks for the privilege of opening open-ing additional offices would be handled on the merits of each individual case. |
