' In the afternoon there were games races and sports at the city park followed fol-lowed by a baseball game between the fairview and Milburn teams. At five o'clock a grand -barbecue was held at the South ward grounds under the trees, several hundred enjoyed en-joyed the feast. In the evening a dance at the pavlllion closed the ' celebration. . I, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Cheney are spending the week at Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. El3berry Garlic oi' Ogden are visiting here. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Briggs of Ogden are visiting relatives. On Wednesday evening a bundhs shower was given at the home of Darius Sanders by a number of friends in honor of Mrs. Stanley Brady, games, music and a dainty luncheon made a pleasant time for 3 5 ladies. On Wednesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay Brady of Buhl Idaho, were entertained at the home of J. W. Christensen by a number of old friends games, music and social chat were enjoyed. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stewart of Nephl spent the fourth with Fairview relatives. Mrs. Guy Tucker of Salt Lake spent the past ten days at Fairview. Mrs. Earl Hinsley of Salt Lake was a guest of Mrs. Hyrum Vance Jr. Miss Rosannd Cox spent the fourth with friends In Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Orange Olsen who spent the past two years here went to Mack-ay Tdaho this week. Their many friends In Fairview wish them success in their new home. Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay Brady and Mr. and Mrs. J. Brady of Buhl Idaho are spending the week In Fairview. Misses Alice and Al-ta Olson of Provo spent the fourth at Fairview. Miss Thompson of Ephraim is a guest of Miss Vondella Hansen. Miss Hildred Anderson of Glen-wood Glen-wood is a guest of Miss Wretha Peterson, Mrs. Heber Brady went to Salt Lake City last week to attend the funeral of her brother Hjalmer Landgreen. For many years a resident here. HJALMAR LANDGREN. Hjalmar Landmen of 1042 south; West Temple street, Salt Lake died ( Saturday at Forsythe, Mont., after a short illness, of typhoid fever. Mr. Landgren went to Montana three weeks ago and was Immediately taken tak-en ill He was removed to -the hospital hos-pital where everything possible was done for him. Deceased was a native of Kr.stian-stad, Kr.stian-stad, Sweden, where he was born I Aug 7.1871, the so,n of Anders and, Hannah Landgren. He came to. Utah 37 vears ago and lived at Fair-view, Fair-view, Sanpete county, until his marriage mar-riage four years ago when he moved , ,o Salt Lake. He filled a mission to Sweden 15 years ago and at the time ot death was a active Church : worker in the Thirtieth ward He Is survived by his mother, his wife., K-mma.
