Show DIRECTOR HINES QUITS POST Railway Official Tenders Resignation, Which is Accepted by President. Washington. Walker D. Hines, director di-rector general of railroads, has resigned re-signed and his resignation has been accepted by President Wilson, effective effec-tive May 15. Much work in liquidating the affairs af-fairs of the railroad administration will remain after May 15 and Max Theleti, in charge of the claims department, depart-ment, is understood to be Mr. Hines' choice for a successor. It was said t the White House that the retiring iirector general would name his own successor. I |
