Show COUNTY ROAD BOND ISSUE CARRIES BY BIG MAJORITY One of the most progressive steps ever taken by the citizens of Sanpete county was the one taken last Tuesday Tues-day when the taxpayers voted the road bond issue. It was almost 5 to 1 in favor of the issue. The voters authorized the issuance of $280,000 bonds for hardsurface roads by an overwhelming majority. The vote was 1,659 in favor of the issue and 33 9 against it. It is planned this summer to ex pend $140,000 of the issue, in addition ad-dition to $241,000 federal aid and $96,000 state aid to surface 11 miles of highway from MantI north thru 'Ephraim. Other highways also will be improved. The balance of the issue will be kept as a reserve for work as it may be deemed necessary. Following is the vote by precincts: Precinct.
