Show TOO MUCH RUT. The fellow who wears a path from his work to his home will soon wear himself out. These are not the times of a' hundred years ago, when life was j more simple and people had time to j think. Today we are going the paoe that kills in our chase for wealth, a pace that taxes nature to the limit. We need more recrea::ou, more relaxation, more enjoyment f ree j from the cares of business, for with- i out these the pep of life will become sapped to the marrow. In our haste to acecunxilate ' wealth we have acq.ured the habit! of leaving community affairs almost' entirely to our elective officials, con-j tenting ourselves with a perfunctory j kick when things do not go to suit: us. We should leave the beaten path and take some of this responsibility responsibi-lity upon our own shoulders. It; would be good Tor the community j and even better for us. |
