The young ladies of the Kola swarm and Sego Lily swarm joined hands Friday afternoon and going to a neighboring swimming place took their first lesson in the art of swim-ine. swim-ine. They were instructed by a couple cou-ple of boy scouts, Masters Russel Johnson and Clare Jensen who are very proficient in the art. A most enjoyable time was had by all the members of both swarms and a delicious de-licious basket luncheon was serve 1 before the homeward hike. Fay Allied and Myrtle Justesen. The Roy Scouts hold their weekly meeting in the Old Meeting home Monday evening and were reorganized. reorganiz-ed. The turn out proved very satisfactory, satis-factory, enough being enrolled for four patrols. The more advanced seouls were made patrol laeders and assistants. The boys are all very much taken up with the work which will no doubt prove very helpful to them. It was also decided to rent a ten acre tract which the boys expect to plant in beets and in this manner create employment for themselves during spare time and thus replenish the treasury of the troop, which will be used in the purchase of uniforms and materials for carrying on the work. , The M. C. U. Circle met Wednesday Wednes-day at the home of Mrs. Maud Acord for social day. Two beautiful mus -cal selections were rendered by Mrs. Vera Larsen. Refreshments were served by the hostess. Club meets next Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Enid Baxter. The Alethia club met Friday, July 14. at the home of Mrs. Annie Johnson. John-son. The lesson was given by Mrs. Prude Thompson. Refreshments were served by the hostess. The club will meet next Friday at the home of Mrs. Lois West. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Madsen have returned from a visit in Idaho. They report having had a most enjoyable trip and say conditions in the Gem state are prosperous. Jene Nielson has moved his family back from Idaho this week and expects ex-pects to remain in Spring City in the future. j J. P. Johnson and Mrs. Charlotte Hansen accompanied Miss Leolette Christensen to the hospital iu Salt Lake Wednesday. William Allred arrived home a few-days few-days ago after several months spent away working. He expects to return to his labors again in a few days. Ralph Ilayward of Chester arrived home from Marysvale the later part of last week and reports things booiu-ign booiu-ign in that part of the state.
