Show W. 'c tXu. meet in rousing sessions The 25th annual con ven t km of the Women's Christian Temperance I'm ion is being held in this ciy. For jtliioo days a scries of meetings have been conducted at the North Ward I Chapel. Beginning Wednesday afternoon af-ternoon the delegates from the various var-ious parts of the stale assembled here for the convention. ' The number of meetings held and the order of the program is . being carried out very similar to that published pub-lished in last week's issue of the Pyramid. The chapel is der-J.od up with charts which the unj?i- lias been using us-ing in their Sabbat Veschool work. The special delegates from (he different parts of (he. stale who arc here are: Mis. L. L. Shepard, Mrs. Klein, Mrs W. F. Core, Mrs. C. A. Rool. Mrs. Emma P. Pratt, Mrs, W. A. Sayor, Mrs. Burgess, Mrs. Pinlierton. Mrs. Saunders, and Mrs. Funk of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ornsby of Portland. National lecturer of Sunday School Work; Miss Leo I a S. Kennedy, Mrs. lladley, Miss Pressel and Miss Minis of Ogden; Mrs. C W. Martin of Mauli Miss Rankin of Spring City, Miss Ilipkins of Spring City; Miss Dunn of Elsinore; Miss Baker and Miss Schwab of Moroni; Mrs. Fryer, Miss Fraw, 11 ri Koach and Mrs. Bell Larsen. Miss Rankin furnished two vocal solos during the convention; Miss Gibsbn also sang and Miss Purdy gave a piano selection. Thursday afternoon Mr.s. Ornsby of Oregon gave an address on temperance tem-perance work in Ihe Sunday School and how to present it in a successful and effective way to the children, givng a dctlnale plan. Mm. Sbepard cave an address on (be origin and history of (ho W. C. T. U. movement in the United States. Thursday evitiing a large crowd of people attended Ihe evening meeting meet-ing Htul Rev. Norton conducted the devotional exercises of Ihe meeting. Miss Columbia's Wash Day, arranged by Mrs. Pratt. was interestingly given by Mrs. v. A. Walker and Mrs. C. A. Root.
