Show CLEAN TOWN JUDGE PLEASED WITH OUR CITY James H. Wallis, Judge of the Clean town contest" from Salt Lake City came to Mount Pleasant on Wednesday Wednes-day of this week under the direction of the Utah State Board of Health to judge the condition of the city. Mr. Wallis was given a welcome reception by the people of this city and in company with City Inspector Mons Monsen went over the principle parts of the city and gave credits where they were due. They also called at the schools and churches which impressed him very much. He learned from the schools that there was no sickness in the city and the schools were in excellent condition. He was pleased to see the Armory, the Theatre and the Post Office building build-ing which he said were monuments to the city. Mr. Wallis stated that Mt. Pleasant would score very high, although the broken down fences around some of the lots would detract some from the improved places and pull the rating down. Mr. Wallis was very much pleased with the hospitality of the people. |
