The Slake Conferenae held here Saturday and Sunday was well attended; at-tended; not with standing the bad roads and stormy weather, There were no visitors of the general au-thorites au-thorites present. Work will begin right away on the state highway north of Spring City. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Larson have come over from Clear Greek to to live here. Brigham E. Griffiths who has been quite ill is improving. Rysa Lisa J.hnson who was the oldest person living in Spring City, died March. ,8-1612, after a weeks illness, she was nearly 92 years old and enjoyed good health until last week. She attended meeting the Sunday before. She was born Aug. 16 1820 and came to Utah with her husband and family in. 1869, They located at Spring City the same vear and have lived here ever since, Her hubsand died here Dec. 14 1893 aged 74, Mrs. Johnson has been a widow for 19 errs. She has three children living. 34 grand children and 33 great grand children. Mrs. Johnson has 5 children who preeeeded her on the other side Her funeral will be held at the Tabernacle Thursday March 21st at 2 p. m. Miss Leolett Christ ensen a grand daughter who has been absent from Spring City for a year and a half returned home for a week. |
