Show 1MMWS3 1H FAIRYIEW Mayor C. S. Pritchett is a Salt Lake visitor this week. Mrs. Miranda Behannen spent the past three weeks visiting in Fairview. Miss Cleo Olsen and Miss Belle Hoggan of Manti are spending the week at Fairview. Mrs. Frank Bills and children of Union spent the last two weeks visi-ing visi-ing relatives here. Mrs. Stena Olsen and daughter, Le-ona Le-ona have gone to Vernal to visit relatives. rel-atives. Mrs. Earl McClellan of Provo spent the Fourth at Fairview and visited friends and relatives. Mrs. Clyde Hammond of Moab is the guest of her sisters, Mrs. Bruce Cox and Mrs. Carl Sundwall. Dr. Edmunds gave a lecture on Public Health at the Relief Society meeting Monday. Nearly one hundred hun-dred ladies were present. Fairview will celebrate Pioneer Day with a vim this year. The committee com-mittee say we will have the best celebration cel-ebration given in years Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rasmussen are spending the week at Salt Lake City. Darrel Rasmussen is acting as. station agent during Mr. Rasmussen's absence. At the trustee election held July 13th, E. H. Anderson was elected by a large majority. Peter Peterson is the retiring trustee having served three terms. Charles Bills and family moved to Idaho this week. They will make their home there for one year and perhaps longer if suited with the country. , Fairview- is to have a-General clean up day Monday July 20th. Also a free dance and banquet in the evening for those older. The Annual Meeting of the Ladies Literary Club was held at the home of Mrs. James P. Peterson. After the yearly reports were given the following fol-lowing officers were elected: President, Presi-dent, Mrs. Chas. Peacock; Vice Pres., Mrs. Dave Carlston; Secretary, Mrs. Vern Sanderson; Librarian, Mrs. J. P. Larson. Music was given by Mrs. I. J. Framptou and Mrs. Laren Lar-sen, Lar-sen, and solos Mrs. J. R. Anderson, Mrs. Geneva Larsen and Mrs. A. U. Miner. Fifteen ladies enjoyed the social hour and refreshments served. r |
