Miss Margaret Reynolds went to Thistle last week to pay a short visit with friends. Mr. and Mrs. John Monsen are over from Emery county to celebrate Pioneer Day. Virge Johnson was home this week to spend Sunday and part of Monday with his parents. . Mrs. Amasa Ericksen is spending the week visiting in Manti with relatives and friends. Mrs. Snow and children from Sterling are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Snow of this city. Mrs. Mary Parsons of Mammoth is guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bigler this week. Mrs. Roberts of Grand Junction, Colorado is guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. tt. Anderson. Mrs. John Gunderson of Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant was a guest of Mrs. Hy Sorensen during the week. Enterprise , Miss Stella Madsen of Manti is spending the week in Mount Pleasant being guest at the home of Miss Ada Jensen. Miss Edna Sorenson, who has been ' visiting her parents here for some time, returned to Provo the last of the week. Mrs. Dr. Burch returned from Salt Lake City Friday of last week. She was in the city during the week visiting with friends. lone McArthur left for Salt Lake City Monday. She will spend a week or more visiting with her sisters, Nellie and Carrie. Mr. and Mrs. Ras. Frandsen " of Price came to Mount Pleasant Mon-dav Mon-dav to snpnrl the 24th with Mr and Mrs. I. E. Jogenson. Mr. and Mrs. P. M. McArthur left Monday morning for Price where they will spend the 24th. with Mr. and Mrs. George Ryland. The talk is now current that the Republicans are going to put a third presidential ticket in the field this fall. The more, the merrier. Mrs. Harry Enos and Mrs. Roy Campbell of Salt Lake Citv are here this week to pay their parents a visit vis-it and fdso friends and relatives. Misses Eva Ericksen and Marie Christensen of this city have spent the past two weeks at Fountain Green, guest of Mildred Alired. Lydia Matson came home to spend the 24th with her father, President Peter Matson. She has heen in Salt Lake City for several months. James Johnson is in Idaho visiting with his sister, Mrs. James C. Anderson An-derson of Rexljurg. He will be absent ab-sent a number of weeks before returning re-turning to Mount P.easant. Mr. Lduis Fugal, Manager of the Nebo Hilalid mine was in this city Friday and reports that Nebo Hi-land Hi-land is in excellent condition. It has a very promising future before it. Chas. DeGraff has returned to his ranch in Idsiho where he will remain re-main until crops are gathered or until lie disposes of th.3 property he has there. Wasatch Wave. Mr. Chss. Miss Ericksen taught school in Randolph last year. Stella Olsen went to Provo Monday to spend the 24th. She will be absent ab-sent about a month during which i time she will visit in American Fork. Pleasant Grove and other towns in Utah county. ' Miss Crystal Jensen returned Fri-1 day from Provo and Pleasant Grove. She has been spending the past week visiting with her aunt, Mrs. Louis P. Lund of Pleasant Grove, and also relatives in Provo. Clayton Sorenson, little son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Sorensen brcke his arm while at play Thursday after noon at their home. Clavton was running and fell to the ground very heavily bi eaking both bones of his arm, but is getting along very nicely. Benjamin Cluffof Salt Lake City was in Mount Pleasant Sunday and spoke to the young people in Conjoint Con-joint Session at the North Ward meeting house "that evening. The picnic planned by the ladies of the W. 0. T. U. for last Friday proved prov-ed to be a decided success, in spite of the ' threatening weather in the 'morning of the picnic day. The grounds at Fiddler's Green were the scene of the merriment. There were seventy-five or eighty seated at the long table set in the grove. After the luncheon games and races of a varied order were entered into with peculiar zest by young and old alike. No one failed to have an enjoyable time. |
