Show MARYSVALE POTASH PLANT OPERATING The potash plant at Marysvale commenced opearations in its entirety Tuesday for the first time, and some time soon, within a day or so, the first carload of the Utah product, which makes the United States independent inde-pendent of importations from Germany, Ger-many, will be shipped. It will go to a concern in Florida. This was announced by Charles H. Macdowell of Chicago, vice president of the Mineral Products corporation, at the Hotel Utah Monday night. The Mineral Products corporation's the name of the company organized by the Armour interests to build and operate op-erate the plant at Marysvale for the marketing of potash. Mr. Macdowell is president of the Armour Fertilizer works and is the active head of the Armour potash interests. He returned Monday from a two weeks' stay at the deposits at Marysvale, superintending the final touches of reconstruction of the tramway, tram-way, which has delayed the operation of the plant until this week. The rest of the plant was ready for business the middle of September. |
